Original World War II U.S. Army Officer's M-1926 Short Coat. Officially designated "Overcoat, Short, M-1926," this is a second pattern, with a notched collar and a buttonless waistband. First authorized in 1926, this pattern was introduced in 1943 as a simplified pattern, common in 1944-1945. This coat is made of virgin wool and features large vegetable ivory buttons, as is often found on this pattern. Patch pockets with flaps are located on the front of the jacket, and epaulettes are present on the shoulders. The interior of the jacket is fully lined with khaki rayon. A single interior pocket with the original label, bearing the maker's name, "NUDELMAN BROS," a Seattle company. The label features typical period graphics and is still bright and legible. The pocket label bears the officer's name. No moth holes, superb overall condition.
Sleeve length: 66 cm
Shoulder width: 50 cm
A superb original World War II coat of exceptional quality.
