M43 Field Cap for Mannschaften. An extremely well-preserved M43 single-button field cap for enlisted personnel and non-commissioned officers of the Police, made of police green wool cloth. It is fully enclosed by fold-down side panels, scalloped at the front, providing optional ear and neck protection. When not in use, the panels are rolled up and held in place at the front by a single silver-plated, grained zinc button. Original machine-sewn BeVo embroidered diamond-shaped Police badge, the badge measures 36 mm (w) x 52 mm (h). Unmarked satin lining. One ventilation eyelet on each side. Lightly worn, no moth holes, very nice overall patina.
