Early MG 34 aluminum cartridge case with serial number.

Early-war factory produced example of a MG34 ammunition case, aluminum made, original Feldgrau paint, serialized, with 75% original paint and intact and functional clasp (very often broken on this model). Split on one corner but barely visible .....see photo. Marking hidden by the serial number painted in white on the lid, we can see a second serial number under it covered by the last one. Presented  as found, uncleaned, very beautiful patina. A white V painted on one side ...V for V-Kasten (Small storage box) ??
