Goumier French Fighting knife

French combat dagger known as "Le Goumier," from the Algerian War period, with the same characteristics as the "Le Beret Rouge" combat dagger: a solid brass pommel in the shape of a puzzle screwed onto the tang. Black leather sheath with a thigh strap and a handle retention strap with a functional snap closure. This model was used during the Algerian War; the chromed blade has some brown spots and is in very good overall condition. A well-documented model, variations exist, particularly in the handle and guard.
