A pair of early wartime German issue 6x30 HEER binoculars marked "Dienstglas" (Service Glass), manufactured by HENSOLDT WETZLAR. The manufacturer's marking clearly dates these optics to around 1935-1940. This heavy model, made of brass with its original black paint, is in very good condition. The optics are unbroken, with some brown spots, and are graduated on the right. The focusing knobs are functional. They have a beautiful overall patina. The binoculars are presented as found, uncleaned, with unwaxed leather, a leather loop for attaching to a tunic button, and a neck strap. The leather is supple. A superb example of attic item that will delight battle field pîeces collectors.
