MG34 Aluminium ammo box

MG34 ammunition box - Patronenkasten 34. - early manufacture in aluminum, war time repainted  with anti-reflective feldgrau paint, registered with white paint on the lid, with its leather loops (one is missing on the lid). This box has its original paint at more than 85% which is unusual knowing that the paint does not hold on aluminum. The clasp is complete and functional (on this model the clasp is fragile and very very often broken). Very nice general patina, a crack on one corner and two cracks on the corner of the lid.
