US17 CANADA RCAF bayonet

American bayonet model 1917 with Canadian hallmark. Manufacturer REMINGTON all US hallmarks present, sheath well marked JEWELL and dated 1918, parkerized blade with the first few centimeters blue bronzed. Canadian hallmark C with the arrow near the push button. Clearly visible markings 809 - MP C 383 - Number 130 engraved on the plate.

Remington 1917 has Canadian broad arrow acceptance markings on the pommel. Canada purchased a number of P17 rifles in early World War II (100,000). They were mostly used for guard duty on the home front, specifically for POW guards but also were used by the RCAF. Very good condition. Blade is parkerized light gray.
