Military radio case, model ER12, FRANCE 40, scarce model. Nice original used condition.
The ER 12 mle 1934 radio is a transceiver primarily used for establishing command networks for infantry divisions. It was also used by mountain infantry, artillery, and anti-aircraft battalions. This radio operates in radio frequency only within the 550-950 meter band and has a range of 8 to 20 km. It is based on the continuous wave principle and uses five TM-2 type triodes (electron tubes). It consists of a case, shown here, containing the radio itself, and a second case for its accessories. A separate power supply, an ER 17 model tripod, and a tent for shelter complete the set. It was operated by a corporal and three men.
