WWI Aviation – Pilot's headgear

Circa 1910 aviator's cap with integrated goggles. Adjustable cap made of heathered wool, featuring fold-down ear flaps and goggles secured by small, fully functional black-finished brass snaps. The goggle lenses are in superb, uncracked condition; the lining on the underside of the goggles shows some wear. This style of headgear was typical of early 20th-century aviation pioneers and race car drivers. A very fine and uncommon piece, especially in this state of preservation.
