This is a WWII Emergency Navigation raft book called "The Raft Book" It is the water proofed addition by Harold Gatty, inside its foil protected pocket is a book and world chart, it was used upon abandoning ship or sky, gives precautions if you half to be your own navigator 1943 edition,has lots of valuable info if trapped behind lines, the chart shows latitudes based on the night stars in the sky.
