As a result, she does not know combat. She was remobilized on February 25, 1943 in the Swift camp in Texas and underwent training to prepare her for amphibious assaults, because it was planned to make her fight on the Pacific front. However, due to heavy American losses with the Battle of the Bulge, she was finally sent to Europe in February 1945 to take part in the last stages of the German campaign, notably the Ruhr pocket. It also contributed to the liberation of the Flossenbürg concentration camp, alongside the 90th Infantry Division, at the end of April 1945. It then entered Czechoslovakia, seizing the town of Egra. In general, the last American shot in the war on the European front is attributed to Private Dominic Mozzetta, a member of the division, on the evening of May 7. After the German surrender on May 8, 1945, it was quickly transferred to the Pacific front. After the Japanese surrender on September 2, she eventually became part of the forces in charge of the occupation of Japan, arriving in Yokohama on September 25. She was demobilized on March 31, 1946.
