Bouthéon, early riveted model in tinned iron, manufacturer JAPY & FRERES, excellent overall condition.
Named after the inventor, Intendant Bouthéon. A curved pot of tinned metal used in the army, modified during the First World War with a larger capacity than the original model of the Second Empire. Two riveted bridges on the meat dish and on the mess tin allow the strap to pass through. On the body of the mess tin-lid, a hollow sleeve marked with the manufacturer is used to accommodate a handle.
