US ARMY Model 1905 Bayonet

Rare US Model 1905 bayonet, manufactured by RIA (Rock Island Arsenal) and dated 1910, featuring the Ordnance Bomb mark and grooved wooden grips. It comes with a brown leather Model 1905 Type 3 scabbard (also made by Rock Island Arsenal) featuring a belt hook. The reverse side bears an H.E.K. inspection stamp and a date that was intentionally removed when the weapon underwent arsenal refurbishment and re-inspection in 1921; the new R.I.A. stamp and the 1921 inspection date appear on the obverse side. Very good overall condition; note: the scabbard throat/locking fitting is missing.
