WWI horizon-blue Adrian helmet inkwell

A superb small metal desk inkwell, fashioned in the shape of a WW1 "horizon blue" (sky-blue) helmet, complete with an infantry insignia and a delicate brown chin strap. The helmet pivots on its base, revealing a small compartment that holds a hand-blown glass inkwell (this small glass component is almost always missing, as it is extremely fragile). A magnificent display piece for a Great War collection, in near-mint condition.
