US Army 10 Cap blasting machine manufactured by Fidelity Electric Co., functional, with its original leather strap and painted stripes on the base.
Original US Army "10 Cap" detonator dating from World War II, with its original handle. Many of these machines were used by demolition teams during the D-Day landings on June 6, 1944, to destroy the numerous obstacles erected on the French beaches by German forces. This detonator was also used in various American tanks deployed during World War II and was intended for the tank's main gun. In case of a malfunction of the firing system, causing a misfire, this machine could be attached to a specific connection point, and a simple turn of the handle was enough to fire the shell.
Unclassified item; this is a simple dynamo, available for sale without restriction.
